Programme overview

Are you a self-proclaimed ‘bookworm’? Well, get ready because this programme invites you into the world of academic publishing with Taylor & Francis! You’ll learn all about the lifecycle of books and journals and the different stages involved in publishing (including digital publishing!) We’ll also look at the monumental impact academic publishing has on academia, industry & government, and more! What else can you expect? A deep dive into the breadth and depth of careers in this exciting industry.

What's included?

From the different stages of publishing to the challenges and opportunities that come with the rise of digital technology, this programme is jam-packed with exciting content to sink your teeth into! Plus, you’ll learn about the various roles and pathways to a career at Taylor & Francis and the wider publishing industry. You’ll also complete a series of quizzes and fun activities to help build your understanding, finishing the programme with a downloadable portfolio of your work.

What is a T Level?

Considering a T Level but unsure what the workload or placement is actually like? This Springpod programme helps you explore how T Levels work, combining classroom learning with a substantial industry placement, so you can decide if this route suits your learning style before choosing it. You’ll know what to expect — and whether it’s the right next step for you.

Life as a T Level Student

You’ll split your time between college and an industry placement. This gives you the chance to apply what you learn in real workplaces and build confidence before moving on.

Securing a T Level

Most T Levels require GCSEs in key subjects and a commitment to both study and placement. Understanding expectations early helps you decide if it’s the right fit.

When will I hear back if I have been successful with my application?

Once you have applied for your programme, you will receive a confirmation email. You will be notified about the outcome of your application via email at least 3 days before the programme start date. Good luck!

Can I apply to multiple programmes?

Yes, you can sign up to multiple programmes with us.

Who can take part in the programme?

Most of our programmes require students to be in school/college. Some programmes require students to be based in specific regions of the UK, this is stipulated by the organisations themselves, and is not defined by Springpod.

However, the ages mentioned on our programmes are more of a guideline than a strict limit. As such, we more than welcome older students to apply as well!

Will I receive a certificate on completion of the programme?

You will receive a certificate on completion of your programme. It will be made available to download whenever your programme is marked as complete.
